施先生的微笑曲線

微笑曲線就是一條說明產業附加價值的曲線, 從橫軸來看, 由左至又代表產業的上中下游,

左邊是研展, 中間是製造, 右邊是行銷: 縱軸則代表附加價值的高低。

以市場競爭型態來說, 曲線左邊的研展是全球性的競爭, 右邊的行銷是地區性的競爭

「微笑曲線」, 這其實就是一條說明產業附加價值的曲線。

我用這條曲線來說明組裝已經變成電腦業附加價值最低的部份.

宏碁應該放棄在台灣組裝, 集中精力在附加價值更高的專精領域。

微笑曲線有兩個要點, 第一個是可以找出附加價值在哪裡, 第二個是關於競爭的型態。

微笑曲線在中段位置為獲利低位，而在左右兩段位置則為獲利高位，

如此整個曲線看起來像是個微笑符號。

微笑曲線的含意即是：

要增加企業的盈利，絕不是持續在組裝、製造位置，而是往左端或右端位置邁進。
